Luggage | Briefcases<Filson Original Briefcase Waxed Camouflage – Limited Edition

The Filson Original Briefcase has long been one of their most popular products. A limited-edition variant of that proven workhorse, the Waxed Rugged Twill Original Briefcase has been heavily-waxed for unfailing water resistance and is made in a camouflage pattern that harkens back to vintage military uniforms. Its industrial-strength Rugged Twill is thick and strong, with exceptional resistance to abrasion and wear. It’s waxed, so your valuables stay dry. The leather handles and straps are cut, burnished and edge-dyed in the Seattle factory from Bridle Leather hides vegetable-tanned by one of the oldest tanneries in America. Each hide is slowly steeped in a special bark-tannin solution, with tallows and waxes “hot-stuffed” into it during the final stages. This eco-friendly tanning process transforms cowhide into durable, pliable leather suitable for horse tack and saddlery, as well as Filson briefcases. The heavy-gauge brass zipper is rustproof, virtually indestructible, and reinforced with Bridle Leather. All of this is stitched together with heavy-duty, cotton-wrapped polyester thread, to ensure a briefcase that will provide decades of unfailing service.

For over 100 years, Filson has staked its reputation on producing goods that a man can depend on in the toughest environments. Founded in 1897 as outfitter for prospectors heading to Alaska in search of gold, Filson has always been exacting in its workmanship and choice of materials. Over the years the brand has expanded its production from jackets and outerwear and now boasts a range of luggage and bags made to the rigorous standards that have made Filson the gold standard in rugged outdoor gear.
